BOYS GOLF: BHS completes first round at Pequot Lakes Invite
BRAINERD -- The Bemidji High School boys golf team completed the first round of play at the Pequot Lakes Early Bird Invitational at The Legacy Courses at Cragun’s in Brainerd on Thursday.
The Lumberjacks posted a first-round score of 335, sitting even with Roseau in the middle of the pack of 20 teams midway through the two-day tournament.
Leo Spry carded a team-best score of 80 as Jaret Lalli followed with an 84, Steve Johans with an 85, Matt Allen with an 86 and David Forte with a 93. Brenden Takkunen shot a 99 as the sixth golfer in Bemidji’s lineup.
The final round of the tournament tees off at 10 a.m. today in Brainerd.
