GIRLS GOLF: Bemidji third at Cardinal Invitational

STAPLES -- The Bemidji High School girls golf team finished third out of 11 teams at the Cardinal Invitational hosted by Staples-Motley.

The Lumberjacks scored a 351, tying with host Staples-Motley for second place, but the Cardinals won the tiebreaker and the Lumberjacks finished in third place.

Alexandria won the meet with a score of 343.

Bemidji's Morgan Miller took third overall, scoring a 39-41-80 on the par-72 course.

Alexandria's Amanda Bigger took first overall at 76 and Staples' Emily Israelson took second with a score of 78.

BHS's Morgan Williams and Kelsey Isaacson were also in the top 10 at Staples, with Williams scoring aan 85 and Isaacson shooting a 90.

The Lumberjacks are back in action Tuesday at Menahga.
