Hockey Day is coming to Bemidji; 13th annual event set for winter 2019

GIRLS HOCKEY: Lumberjacks fall in OT

RICHMOND -- The Bemidji High school girls hockey team lost a nailbiter to River Lakes on Friday night, falling to the Stars 2-1 in overtime.

BHS sophomore Eva Laituri opened the scoring late in the second period for a 1-0 Jacks lead, but River Lakes came back to tie it in the third to force overtime.

In the extra frame, River Lakes claimed the win with a goal just 31 seconds in.

BHS falls to 3-17 with the loss, while the Stars improve to 7-11.
