BOYS GOLF: BHS fifth at Detroit Lakes Invite
DETROIT LAKES -- The Bemidji High School boys golf team was sandwiched in the middle of a nine-team field on Tuesday, finishing fifth at the Detroit Lakes Invitational with a team score of 326.
The host Lakers took first with a score of 309, Fergus Falls followed in second with a 310 finish and Roseau rounded out the top three with a 322.
Individually, Dylan Hinners led the Lumberjacks by carding a 78 on the day. Croix Golden and Jordan Anderson finished with an 80 and 81, respectively, while Riley Fenson (87), Noah Burgess (89) and David Forte (92) rounded out the Bemidji finishers.
Nate Longtin of Fergus Falls claimed medalist honors by shooting a 69 to lead all golfers.
BHS will tee off again at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 4, on the road against the Mainstreeters of Sauk Centre.
