GIRLS GOLF: Kelm, Bemidji leading Pequot Lakes Invite

CROSSLAKE -- Abbie Kelm and Taylor Offerdahl have the Bemidji High School girls golf team in first place after day one of the Pequot Lakes Invitational at Crosswoods Golf Course in Crosslake.

Kelm finished atop the leaderboard with a 74 on Tuesday, while Offerdahl followed closely with a 75. The Lumberjacks tallied a team score of 324, one stroke ahead of 325 for Detroit Lakes. The Lakers were led by Maddie Herzog and Shelby Busker, who each carded a 77, while Anna Cihak finished with an 81.

Elsewhere for BHS, Nicki Son finished with a 87 and Kylen Fenson finished with an 88. Damaris Berg and Nettie Kimball rounded out the day for Bemidji with scores of 95 and 106, respectively.

The two-day tournament will wrap up today, with a tee time set for 9 a.m. in Crosslake.
