Bemidji State baseball team wraps up season at home this weekend against Mankato

The Bemidji State baseball team wraps up its season this weekend with a four-game home series against Minnesota State University, Mankato Saturday and Sunday at BSU Baseball Field.

Saturday's doubleheader begins at 1 p.m. and Sunday's doubleheader starts at noon.

The Mavericks (35-8 overall, 27-3 NSIC) come to Bemidji leading the conference and ranked No. 9 in the national poll.

Bemidji State is 18-25 overall and 12-17 in NSIC play. The Beavers are ninth in the NSIC standings.

BSU has already improved on last season's record by winning two more games overall games and five more in NSIC play.

Logan Kalis leads BSU in batting average (.325), Colton Smith leads the team in hits (50) and Nick Jelacie leads the team in home runs (6).

Ryan Sander leads the pitching staff with a 3-3 record and a 3.22 earned run average. Phil Bray, Miles Campbell and Ryan Van Someren have two wins for BSU.
