Bemidji State men's hockey: Read determined to be 'better' for Bemidji

Bemidji State senior men's hockey player is participating in this week's Wild prospect camp in St. Paul.

He's talked with the media in a few separate interviews and here's what he had to say.

"I want to better myself so I can bring it back up to Bemidji," Read said to of his goals for the week. "I want to develop as a player so that next year, after all of these development camps, maybe I can get a chance to play in the NHL."

"I just want to develop as much as I can, learn from the staff here," Read said to the Star Tribune "You want to come in, learn as much as you can, then take it back to college and be the best player I can be so I can get another (pro) opportunity."

Read led Bemidji State in points last season with 19 goals and 21 assists for 40 points. He's scored 108 points in 110 career games with BSU.
