Bemidji Town and Country Club to open 11 a.m. Wednesday

BEMIDJI – Tuesday’s warm temperatures speeded the drying process at the Bemidji Town and Country Club and BT-CC pro Rick Grand has been given the go-ahead by superintendent Tom Johanns to allow play starting at 11 a.m. Wednesday.

“Without question, people are ready for us to open,” Grand said. “As soon as we had some of these nice days everybody started calling. And now we are ready.”

Grand reports that the course came through the winter in great shape. The only modification the golfers will find early in the season is a temporary green on No. 15. That area of the course is near a wetland and the green needs more time to dry.

“The staff has been out clearing debris and getting the course ready for play and it looks very good,” Grand said.

Most of the other courses in the Bemidji area should be open by the end of the week.
