BOYS BASKETBALL: Spring Lake Park tops Bemidji 78-47

OAKDALE – Bemidji lost to Spring Lake Park 78-47 in the seventh-place game of the Tartan Tournament here Saturday afternoon.

The Lumberjacks (0-8) fell behind early and trailed 50-24 at halftime.

In the second half, the Panthers (6-4) eased off the gas pedal somewhat and only outscored the Lumberjacks 28-23 in the frame.

Connor McNallan led Bemidji with 13 points; he was the team’s only scorer in double-digits.

The Panthers had four players in double figures, including two (Trevor Hall and TC Robinson) with 13.

The Lumberjacks return to the court Thursday when they are scheduled to take on St. Michael-Albertville in a makeup of their game scheduled for Dec. 15. The game was cancelled due to snow.

The Lumberjacks host rivals Moorhead next Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
