GYMNASTICS: Bemidji dominates Park Rapids

BEMIDJI – Haley Gregg scored 33.90 to take all around honors and lead the Bemidji gymnastics team to a 132.25-92.475 victory over Park Rapids Friday in the season opener at the Gym Bin.

The Lumberjacks return to action 1 p.m. today when they host Fargo North and Fargo Davies.

Gregg won the bars with a score of 8.50 and was second on the vault at 9.05 and second on the floor at 8.55.

She also placed third on the balance beam at 7.80. Bemidji athletes also won the other three events.

Alyshia Moe claimed the vault at 9.1 while Sara Erickson captured the beam at 8.75 and Amy Carey’s 8.725 floor exercise routine was judged the best of the evening.

Erickson also was second in the all around at 33.775 while Carey placed third at 32.525 and Moe fourth at 31.250. Teammate Brittney Beck was fifth in the all around with a score of 29.75.
