Hockey Day is coming to Bemidji; 13th annual event set for winter 2019

Carlson, Bemidji boys win Bagley-Fosston meet

BAGLEY – The Bemidji boys cross country team, employing a mix of varsity and junior varsity runners, took first place in Tuesday’s 16-team meet hosted by Bagley-Fosston.

Lumberjack Sam Carlson was the individual winner, completing the course in 16:29. Teammate Elias Hendrickson was third (16:42) while a trio of junior varsity runners who were elevated to varsity status Tuesday took Bemidji’s next three positions.

That threesome included Caleb Appleton who was 14th, Noah Holter who was 15th and Thomas Revering who was 24th.

Also running for the Jacks were Seth Neubeck who placed 46th and Tony Sagedahl who was 49th.

Bemidji sent three junior varsity runners to the girls meet and competed as an incomplete squad.

Califorina Thorson finished 59th, Amber Smith 67th and Madison Maki 90th.

Bemidji returns to duty Saturday at the giant Milaca Mega Meet.
