BHS slogs through final meet

SAUK CENTRE - Bemidji closed its regular season Thursday by shooting 332 on a rain-soaked layout at the Greystone Golf Course.

"On every swing we saw splashes," said Lumberjacks coach Seth Knudson. "It rained the entire day. The ground was soggy and the greens held and were putting fast. But it was the same for everybody."

Sartell won the title with a round of 328 while the Jacks were second. St. Cloud Tech shot 334 for third and Alexandria was a close fourth with 337.

Bemidji was paced by Zach Rickers who finished at 81 on the par-72 course. Ben Davis of Sartell was the medalist with an 80.

"Our kids weren't happy with their scores but everybody's score was high because of the playing conditions," Knudson said.

Kodi Craft shot 82, Jake Hoffman 84, Elliot Leinen 85, Sam Starkey 86 and Ryan Erickson 94.

Bemidji was missing Trey Dale who has a sprained ankle. He is expected to be available for the section meet which will be played June 4-5 at Greystone.
