Miller's 83 leads BHS at Blueberry Pines

MENAHGA - Morgan Miller carded a 41-42-83 to lead the Bemidji girls golf team at Tuesday's Menahga Invitational which was held at the par 36-36-72 Blueberry Pines Golf Course.

Grand Rapids captured the team title with 337 and Pequot Lakes was three shots back. The Lumberjacks placed third in the 8-team field with 352.

Also finishing in the 80s for BHS were Katelin Craft who shot 46-42-88 and Morgan Williams who ended 46-43-89.

Kelsey Isaacson finished at 47-45-92, Megan Dondelinger at 48-47-95 and Hailey Hinners at 46-51-97.

"It was a gorgeous day but it was windy," Craft said.

"We shot our average score but everybody can shave off a few shots and that is what we will have to do to reach our goal of shooting in the 330s in the section meet.

"Hopefully we'll also do that when we play Saturday at Wadena," Craft added.

The section meet begins June 4 in Long Prairie.
