Bemidji Middle School basketball report for Jan. 11

7th Grade Girls

The Bemidji 7th Grade girls enjoyed their best day of the season Saturday, taking second place at their own invitational.

Thief River took the round robin affair at 5-0, Bemidji was 4-1., Crookston 2-2, Grand Rapids 1-3 and Fosston 0-4.

Bemidji opened with a 32-12 win over Fosston, leading 13-8 at the break.

Sydney Hinrichs hit 11, Katie Buckanaga 5, Emily Falldorf, Amber Goeb and Kali Sullivan 4 Jordan Mills 3 and Lauren Rickers 1. Hinrichs led the rebounders with 8.

Thief River then stopped Bemidji 34-21 taking a 22-8 lead at the half.

Hinrichs hit 5, Falldorf, Anna McLean and Sullivan 4 and Buckanaga and Goeb 2.

Hinrichs and Alexis Konecne claimed 8 rebounds.

Bemidji rebounded to spill Crookston 31-27.

Hinrichs hit 7, Sullivan 6, Buckanaga and Alyssa Hovestol 4, Falldorf and McLean 3, Kalli Keckeisen 2 and Konecne and Mackenzie Page 1.

Hinrichs and McLean had 6 rebounds.

Bemidji closed with a 28-12 win over Grand Rapids, leading 15-6 at halftime.

Hinrichs hit 5, Goeb and Mills 4, Buckanaga 3 and Keckeisen, McLean, Page, Rickers and Sullivan 2.

Buckanaga had 10 boards and Konecne 6.
