Cass Lake-Bena boys 2-1 at tournament

The Cass Lake-Bena boys basketball team and the Bagley-Fosston hockey team were the lone area squads to see action last week.

The Panthers went 2-1 at the Crosby-Ironton basketball tournament. CL-B claimed its opener 67-60 over Moose Lake but dropped a 67-51 decision to C-I. In its final game Cass Lake-Bena spilled Warroad 66-59.

CL-B will own a 6-3 record when it hosts Kelliher-Northome Friday.

Bagley's boys team is 4-1 and will have a busy week as it visits Park Rapids today, travels to Fosston Thursday and entertains Thief River Falls Friday.

Blackduck's boys team is 3-4 and travels to Red Lake today. Friday the Drakes will host Pine River-Backus.

Kelliher-Northome also will be busy as the Mustangs host Walker-Hackensack-Akeley tonight and travel to Cass Lake-Bena on Friday.

In girls basketball, Bagley is at Thief River Falls tonight and visits Fosston Thursday. CL-B has three games this week as the Panthers host Laporte tonight, visit Clearbrook-Gonvick Thurs-day and entertain K-N Friday.

Laporte heads to Waubun Thursday after traveling to CL-B today. Blackduck is home to Clearbrook-Gonvick today and to Pine River on Thursday while K-N is at WHA today and at CL-B Friday.

The Bagley-Fosston hockey team went 0-3 at a holiday tournament at Pequot Lakes, losing 8-0 to Northern Lakes, 11-3 to Red Lake Falls and 4-2 to Morris.

The Flyers, 1-9-1, are at Park Rapids Thursday and head to Ely on Saturday.

The B-F wrestlers host Deer River today and competes in a conference meet Saturday at Fertile-Beltrami while BCLBI is at Red Lake County Central Thursday.
