Bemidji HS wrestling falls to ranked Thunderhawks

No. 7 Grand Rapids won eight of the 14 matches Thursday and handed the BHS wrestlers a 43-29 loss in Bemidji.

The Lumberjacks posted six individual victories including pins by Logan Crosby at 119, Jake Crosby at 125 and heavyweight Alex Johnson.

Brian Maas collected a 16-5 triumph at 112 and Craig Maas posted a 14-6 win at 135. Bemidji's other victory was recorded by Brenden Fredricksen who downed Brandon Hess 4-1 at 189.

The Lumberjacks will return to action Saturday at the Frazee Invitational.
