Aerials open season Saturday

The Bemidji Aerials Level 4, 5 and 6 compulsory gymnasts will travel to Duluth on Saturday to participate in the first Lake Superior Gymnastics Association (LSGA) meet of the season.

The Bemidji Aerials are a USA Gymnastics (USAG) competitive team. Levels 4, 5 and 6 are the compulsory competition levels within USAG.

The Bemidji Aerials will be represented by the following gymnasts:

Level 4 - Hayli Allen, Elizabeth Corradi, Macy Hietala, Brooke Hildenbrand, Lindsey Hildenbrand, Shelby Landgren, Nikki Lauderbaugh and Abby Mueller.

Level 5 - Anna Corradi, Stephanie Lauderbaugh, Courtney Mayer, Kennedy Mills, Hannah Mueller, Sarah Nemgar, Michaela Phillips, Kaitlyn Tennyson, Ellie Thompson and Alexis Solo.

Level 6 - Tiana Hickman, Emma Schmidt, Tatiana Smrekar and Tara Tesch.

The Level 4, 5 and 6 Aerials are also scheduled to compete at the LSGA meets in Superior, Wis., on Oct. 16 and in Grand Rapids on Oct. 30. The LSGA season will conclude with the LSGA Championship in Rice Lake, Wis., on Nov. 13.

The Level 5 and 6 Aerials also will compete at state qualifier meets on Oct. 2-3, Nov. 6-7 and Nov. 20-21.

Gymnasts who meet or exceed the established USAG qualifying score at any of the state qualifier meets are eligible to participate in the USAG state meet on Dec. 11-12.
