Bemidji State volleyball: No. 2 ranked Minnesota-Duluth downs Bemidji State

The Bemidji State volleyball team won the first game against No. 2 ranked Minnesota-Duluth Tuesday night at BSU Gymnasium, but were unable to build on the lead in a 3-1 loss to the Bulldogs.

The scores were 19-25, 25-13, 25-14 and 25-18.

The Beavers fell to 8-4 overall and 2-2 in NSIC play after the loss. The Bulldogs kept their perfect record intact and moved to 12-0 overall and 4-0 in NSIC play.

Nicole Olson was BSU's leader on offense and had a team-high 12 kills. Lindsey Weyer, Bethany Thompson and Nicoel Solum each had nine kills.

UMD had three players in double digit kills: Kate Lange with a game-high 18, Katie Kuffel with 12 and April Hansen with eight.
