BSU soccer team blanks Crookston; men's golfers sixth at Husky Classic

Jenny Stromberg scored 1:09 into the game and goalie Samantha Ross stopped all six shots sent her way to lead the Bemidji State University soccer team to Sunday's 5-0 home victory over Crookston.

The shutout was BSU's third in a row and the Bemidji State defense extended its scoreless streak to 270 minutes.

Ford upped the advantage to 2-0 when she scored on a penalty kick at the 17-minute mark.

BSU took the 2-0 lead into the break but settled the issue with three second-half tallies.

At the 51-minute mark Ellefson connected courtesy of Stromberg's feed. Less than five minutes later Stromberg kicked home a rebound of Ellefsen's 18-yard shot.

BSU capped the scoring in the 80th minute as Analey Skog converted a rebound.
