The weather Sunday night at Bemidji Speedway was cooler, but the action on the track was hot and furious. One first-time winner and a couple of clean sweeps in the Dirt Track Series Wissota classes highlighted the evening's races. The speedway hosted the Hornets, Minis, Pures, Mod Fours, Midwest Modifieds and Super Stocks. Next week the Wissota Streets will be back on track joining the other classes.

Josh Seely-Sautbine of Walker took his inside pole position to the front in his first-ever dirt track race and never looked back in claiming his first-ever win. Joe Doti followed him across the finish line with Jason Bush, Don Kolkin and Cody Buchanan completing the top five.

Pure Stock

The Pure Stock feature was a hotly contested event with the top five racers of Don Scholler, Corey Peterson, Bill Chaboyea, Wade Schmidt and Joel Harvey racing bumper to bumper most of the race. Scholler won his second feature of the summer and Bill Chaboyea passed Peterson for second with Wade Schmidt, Chad Puschinsky and Harvey making it into the top five.

Mini Stock

Tim Barrett took his outside front row starting position to the front and held off the field to claim the win. Sherman Rogalski Sr held off Neil Fleming for third with Becky Barrett and John Aderman fourth and fifth.

Midwest Modified

In a highlight-reel race Chris Dudley and Ricky Jacobson dueled for the lead. A caution slowed the race for a re-start and everyone figured this would be where Jacobson would use his skills to grab the lead. But Dudley held his line and stayed out front. On the last lap, however, Jacobson came out of turn four raced alongside Dudley and nosed across the finish line with his bumper ahead of Dudley's.

Super Stock

Jay Kintner took the lead into turn one and quickly raced out to a several-car length

A pair of cautions slowed the action but it didn't change the outcome as Jay Kintner picked up his first win at Bemidji Speedway this summer. Andy Davey was second with Matt Sparby, Jerry Davis and Tyler Kintner trailing in order.

Mod Four

After a series of restarts, including one following a crash which saw the cars of Conrad Schwin and Corry VanMil hit the front cement wall head-on at full speed, Tommy Sabraski took the checkered flag.

Fran Hauber, Mike Margi, Greg Skerik and Tommy McGough completed the top-five.

Neither Schwin nor VanMil were hurt in the crash.
