Aerials honored with year-end awards

The Bemidji Aerials Awards Banquet was held recently and the following awards were given:

Level 4 competition pins and 9.0 Club winners: Hayli Allen, Elizabeth Corradi, Courtney Mayer, Isabelle Morin, Sarah Nemgar, Michaela Phillips, Kaitlyn Tennyson, Ellie Thompson and Aubrianna Wittwer.

Level 4, event leaders were Corradi on vault, Mayer on bars and beam and Thompson on floor.

Reaching the 35 Club [gymnasts with an All Around score of 35 or better] were Mayer, Morin and Thompson.

The most improved Level 4 gymnast was Philips and the Level 4 Gymnast of the Year was Thompson.

Earning Level 5 competition pins were Anna Corradi, Stephanie Lauderbaugh, Serenati Melcher, Erin Meyer, Jordan Mills, Kennedy Mills, Hannah Mueller, Emma Schmidt, Tatiana Smrekar and Tara Tesch. Making the 9.0 club were Mills, Schmidt, Smrekar, Melcher and Tesch.

Schmidt was also recognized for making the 35 Club.

Event leaders in Level 5 were Mills on vault and Schmidt on bars, beam and floor. Schmidt, Mills, Melcher, Smrekar and Tesch also received State Meet pins. Smrekar was named Most Improved Level 5 gymnast and Schmidt was named Gymnast of the Year.

Level 6 competition pins went to Brittney Beck, Katie Bergquist, Kylei Grosfield, Hope Hickman and Tia Hickman.

Joining the 9.0 club were Beck and Grosfield. Grosfield also received a 35 Club pin.

Earning State Meet pins were Grosfield and Hope Hickman.

Grosfield was recognized as the event leader in all four events and was named Level 6 Gymnast of the Year.

The Most Improved gymnast was Hope Hickman.

In Level 7 Alyssa Allen, Hannah Gregg, Kayla Hennum and Amber Peterson all earned competition pins and 9.0 club pins.

Allen also earned a 35 Club pin. Event leaders were Allen on vault and bars and Gregg on beam and floor. Allen and Gregg also earned State Meet pins.

Allen was named Level 7 Most Improved gymnast and Gymnast of the Year.

Competition pins in Level 8 went to Brianna Allen, Haley Gregg and Abby Lindseth. Gregg also earned a 9.0 club pin and she and Lindseth earned State Meet pins.

Event leaders were Gregg on vault, beam and floor and Lindseth on bars.

Gregg was named Level 8 Most Improved gymnast and Gymnast of the Year.

In Level 9, Cassandra Schram earned a competition pin as well as recognition as the leader in all four events.

She was also recognized as the Level 9 Gymnast of the Year.

For the first time in over 10 years the Bemidji Aerials were able to present a Regional Pin. The Regional Pin was awarded to HGregg in recognition of her qualification for the 7 state USAG Regional meet.
