In our second week of high school golf meets our "awesome" spring has now turned into our "typical" spring.

On Monday our varsity boys competed with some of the top teams in northern Minnesota at Tianna in Walker. Roseau took first with a 316 and East Grand Forks second with a 318. For Blackduck, Nick Liapis shot a 51-52, 103; Ian Anderson 56-61, 117; Cody Jones 52-60, 112; Josh Crunden 51-64, 115 and Alex Schuman 52-60, 112

Also on Monday, the girls JV and junior high played at the beautiful Blueberry Pines in Menagha. Oxanna Pfannenstein carded a 76-78, 154; Emma Brown 79-81, 160; newcomer Madison Stelton a 59-57, 116; Jordan Sparby 66-67, 133; Kristi Slindee 74-76, 150; Michaela Holmgren 65-62, 127. The team finished in sixth place behind power-houses like Pequot Lakes, Moorhead, Bemidji and Detroit Lakes.

Wednesday at Tianna was our varsity girls first chance this year at 18 straight holes. Kelsey Olson led the team with a 53-63, 116; Faith Pomp 61-60, 121; Morgan Jung 72-61, 133 and Sasha Pfannenstein 55-75, 130.

Even though the girls were short handed and younger than all the other teams, they still finished around the middle of the pack behind Fosston's first place, 399.
