Cass Lake-Bena baseball team remains unbeaten

Tyler Trosen set down Bagley on three hits Tuesday as Cass Lake-Bena scored a 10-0 victory on its home diamond.

It lifted the Panthers to 11-0 overall and 6-0 in Northland Conference play.

Under a new league standings rule, the conference has been divided into two divisions.

CLB. Walker, Pine River, Nevis and Laporte make up the southern division.

Blackduck, Red Lake, Kelliher-Northome Bagley and Baudette comprise the northern division.

Teams play home and home sets with each division member and single games against teams from the other.

In some instances, they will face the opposite division teams twice. One of these games will not count in the standings.

The Panthers travel to Red Lake today and host Blackduck tomorrow, both league contests.

The Panthers had four run frames in the second and fourth to pull away.

Caleb Fisher led the 11-hit barrage with three safeties including two home runs. Trosen added two.

Two school records were set with Mike Hanson going over the100 career hit mark while Ken Wittner topped the 100 career win coaching record, both firsts in Cass Lake-Bena history.
