The Bemidji Coca Cola Pee Wee A captured the consolation title at the St. Cloud Invitational this weekend, winning four of its five starts.
In pool play, Bemidji beat Detroit Lakes 4-1 and Rogers 7-2 before falling to Hopkins 3-1.
In bracket play it beat Sartell 2-1 and SMA 4-0 to take fifth place.
The results lifted the Pee Wees to 21-4.
Jack Johnson, Rocky Copiskey, Matthew Gregg and Jake Leitner scored against Detroit Lakes. Mikey Sauer had two assists and Michael Forseth one.
Kyle Krause made 17 saves. DL turned back 38 Bemidji shots.
Jake Leitner had a hat trick and Josh Lusby and Sauer scored twice in the Rogers win.
Forseth had three assists, Jake Leitner and Lusby two and Copiskey, Gregg and Nick Leitner one.
Grant Tharaldson made 12 stops. Rogers made 27.
Gregg had the only goal in the Hopkins loss off feeds from Jake Leitner and Lusby. Tharaldson had 14 saves. Hopkins had 27.
Goals by Copiskey and Sauer won the Sartell game. Johnson had two assists and Sauer and Erik Fitzgerald one.
Krause made 25 stops. Sartell had 28.
In the fifth place game, Lusby, Sauer, Fitzgerald and Jake Leitner scored with Forseth, Fitzgerald, Sauer, Copiskey and Jake Leitner netting assists.
Tharaldson made 25 stops. SMA had 23.
