Bemidji youth hockey report for Jan. 6

The Bemidji Bantam B hockey team continued its early season struggles, dropping three of its past four starts.

On Saturday Bemidji won at Warroad 9-4 before bowing at Roseau 9-3.

It fell at Baudette Sunday 4-1 and at International Falls 10-0.

It hosts Thief River Falls Sunday at 4:30 at Nymore Gardens in its only game this week.

The Bantams stand 5-12 on the year, three of its wins over Warroad..

At Warroad, Kole Pankow had a hat trick, Andy Kucera scored twice and Parker Lucas, Gaeton Roy, Tyler Geerdes and Sam Carlson once.

Josh Rogers, Roy and Lucas had two assists and Kucera and Isaac Bleser one.

Jack Schmidgall worked the first period and Brady Hartung the final two in the Bemidji goal.

Justin Goose, Seth Neubeck and Pankow had the three goals at Roseau with Matt Larson, Geerdes and Kucera netting assists.

Schmidgall went the route in goal making 42 stops.

On Sunday, Carlson scored in the final period Baudette to prevent the shutout with Lucas and Pankow getting assists. Schmidgall kicked back 44 shots in the contest.

He had 28 in two periods at the Falls with Hartung turning back 44 more in the final stanza.
