Bemidji State soccer: Mary blanks Beavers 1-0

BISMARCK, N.D. -- The University of Mary defense shut down the Bemidji State soccer team Saturday afternoon 1-0.

The Marauders controlled the ball for most of the game, taking eight shots on goal while limiting the Beavers to only two. Goalkeeper Samantha Ross made seven saves for the Beavers.

The loss drops Bemidji State to 5-4-0 in NSIC play on the season. BSU is in seventh place in the NSIC with four conference matches left to play. The top eight teams in the conference advance on to the NSIC tournament.

The Beavers will take on Northern State at 1 p.m. Sunday in Aberdeen, S.D.
