Area volleyball: Cass Lake-Bena, Bagley, Northome/Kelliher Thursday winners

The Cass Lake-Bena volleyball team earned its second victory of the season Thursday night.

The game scores were 25-10, 25-15 and 25-16.

Everyone played in the victory for the Panthers, which improved their record this season to 2-6.

Brandi Strong had 12 aces and Randi Michaud had seven aces. Marena Cloud had eight serve receptions.

The Bagley volleyball team rallied to defeat Fertile-Beltrami at home Thursday night.

The game scores were 20-25, 25-11, 26-24 and 25-23.

Katie Skersick paced the Flyer offense with 11 kills. Kathryn DeMaris and Andrea Hood each had six kills.

Kelsie Leintz finished the night with 14 set assists.

Leading Bagley's defense was Jayme Kaiser with seven digs. Sarah Schwegman had six digs.

The Northome/Kelliher volleyball team defeated Bug-O-Nay-Ge-Shig at home Thursday night.

The game scores were 25-9, 25-8 and 25-10.

Ann Poxleitner was a perfect 20-20 serving with six aces and three kills for the Mustangs.

Katey Lutz had six kills and one ace for the Mustangs.

Fosston defeated Mahnomen 25-23, 25-19 and 25-20 Thursday.

Abby Non had 10 kills to lead the Greyhounds offense while Tara Evve chipped in eight.

Alyssa Schmidt had 28 set assists.

Kelsi Curfman added three set assists for Fosston.
