Scott E. Novak, age 47,passed away unexpectedly from a cerebral aneurysm on March 8, 2018 near his home in Little Falls, MN.
He was born November 21, 1970 in Cass Lake, MN to Gene and Luella Novak. He attended Deer River High School where his passion was football, and was cheered on by his family who only missed one game his whole high school career. Upon graduating he continued to play for Itasca Community College, and followed up by watching his own sons play and ind the love of the game. He was a technician at Northern Lights Casino, and a Security Officer for Cragun's Resort before finally finding his niche and becoming a certified EMS Instructor and EMT. He worked tirelessly for Leech Lake Ambulance Service for nearly 17 years. He was kind , and compassionate in his caring for all of the Leech Lake Community. He had a special heart for the children, and those who were struggling in their lives. He was recognized for saving lives, and his calming presence at the scenes will be missed. He shared 25 years of marriage with his wife Joan Novak, and was a doting father to his nine children. Gregory (24), Micheal (23), Jakob(20), Chloe (18), Gabrial (17), Christopher (12), Benjamin (8), Kalli (5) and Bradley(15 months). He loved his family and Bigfoot, and anything paranormal. Music, Trivia, and movies were his passion, along with cheering for the Packers .He was preceded in death by his Mother Luella, his Uncle Willie Mainville, Auntie Dallas Livingston, Grandpa Arthur Mainville, town Grandma Agnus Mainville, and Wisconsin Grandma Ethel Novak.
He is survived by his wife, children, Father(Gene), two sisters Dawn(Eric)Jackson,Tara(Beemus) Goodsky, and brother Mike Novak, along with many nieces nephews and cousins. Family & friends whose lives have been touched by Scott are invited to the Ball Club Lone Eagle Community Center in Ball Club, MN. A one day wake will be held starting at 4:00 pm Wednesday, March 15 and concluding with a Funeral service at 1:00 pm on Thursday March 15.
