June Delores Hemp, 96, of Bemidji died Monday, April 17, 2017 at Sanford Bemidji Medical Center.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 am Saturday, April 22, 2017 at the Evangelical Free Church in Bemidji, MN with Pastor Fred Martin officiating. Visitation will be from 5-7 pm, Friday, April 21, 2017 at the Cease Family Funeral Home in Bemidji and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at the White Oak Cemetery in Chamberlain, MN.

She was born November 26, 1920 in Chamberlain, MN the daughter of Arthur and Ethel (Sutliff) Andress. She attended Badoura Country School and graduated from Nevis in 1939. She worked at Ah Gwah Ching Sanitorium in 1940. She married William "Bill" Hemp on March 14, 1942. After the war they settled in Bemidji. She began working at the hospital in the kitchen in 1972 and retired in 1986. She volunteered at the Senior Center Pancake breakfast and the food shelf. She belonged to Carr Lake and Lakeview Drive Homemakers Club, Senior Center, and 55+ at Evangelical Free Church. She enjoyed baking, knitting and Brazilian embroidery.

She is survived by her children, Gloria (Mike) Murphy, Charlene (Ray) Sipper, Nancy (Ron) Storaker, Bill (Sharon) Hemp, Jr., Ken (Lee Ann) Hemp and David (Danette) Hemp; 17 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren; brother Charles (Jane) Andress and sister Myrna (Frank) Whitcomb.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill, parents, Arthur and Ethel Andress, 3 sisters, Charlotte, Mona and Virginia, and 2 grandchildren, Sean and Rory.
