Veach Ward, 77, Bemidji, MN died Saturday, March 18, 2017 in his home surrounded by his friends and family.

Memorial services will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at the Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home with Pastor Kent Dudley officiating. Family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Veach Floyd Ward was born June 29, 1939 in Pupoksy, MN to Earl and Zella (Stage) Ward. He moved to Bemidji where he lived until age 13 when he moved to Brainerd. In 1987 he moved back to Bemidji where he resided at REM Bemidji. In 2004 Veach moved to REM Carr Lake 1 where he lived until his time of death. He loved going out to eat, drawing, watching big trucks going by, sitting outside in the sun during the summer and playing with his toys.

He is survived by brothers and sisters, Elmer (Nikkie) Ward of Columbia Falls, MT, Elnora Jacobson of Bemidji, Elverna Johnson of Columbia Falls, MT, Ruth Carter of Bemidji, Lorraine (Harvey) Benzine of Columbia Falls, MT; Carol Haverkorn of Columbia Falls and sister-in-law, Velma Ward of Bemidji.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Zella Ward; brothers, Melvin Ward and John Ward; sister, Lillian Olson; brothers-in-law, Morris Jacobson, Clifford Carter, Bill Haverkorn and sister-in-law, Lois Ward.
