Bemidji Area Aglow to meet Saturday

The next meeting of Bemidji Area Aglow will be 10 a.m. to noon at Beltrami Electric Cooperative, 4111 Technology Drive NW.

Pastor Tom Gonzales from Brainerd is the speaker. Gonzales has been in ministry for nearly 20 years. He grew up in an alcoholic family and has personally experienced the toxic stress that environment produces. He will teach on Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and how these experiences damage a developing brain and can set the individual on a path of negative consequences.

St. Ann's to host fish fry events

BLACKDUCK—St. Ann's Catholic Church in Blackduck, 131 First St. E, will host an all-you-can-eat fish fry from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 23, and March 9 and March 23. The cost is $10 for adults, $5 for children 6-12, and free for preschoolers. The event will include fish, baked potatoes, green beans, coleslaw, and homemade bread and bars.

Greg Hager to perform concerts

BLACKDUCK—Country Gospel music performer Greg Hager will perform at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 10, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Kelliher and at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 11, at Zion Lutheran Church in Blackduck. A free-will offering will be taken. For more information, call (218) 556-6832.

Liz Curtis Higgs returns to Roseau in April

ROSEAU—Christian speaker and author Liz Curtis Higgs will return to Roseau High School on April 14. The theme of the conference is Endless Hope with the key verse from Heb. 6:19.

Higgs filled the gym in 2009 with more than 1,000 women from Minnesota, North Dakota and southern Canada, according to a release. Her messages are biblical, encouraging, down-to-earth, and profoundly funny, helping women embrace God's grace, the release said.

Higgs has spoken at platforms such as Women of Faith, Women of Joy, Extraordinary Women, Among Friends, Time Out for Women, Women of Virtue, Women's Journey of Faith, Women Who Worship, and Christian Women Communicating International, among others.

She has spoken at more than 1,700 conferences in all 50 states and 15 foreign countries, including South Africa, Indonesia, Germany, Ecuador and Japan. She also has authored 37 books.
