BEMIDJI -- The Bemidji High School girls hockey team wasn’t messing around in their regular season-ending Senior Night game against Park Rapids on Friday.

Senior forwards Hannah Eller and Jacie Lalli combined for eight points to help the Lumberjacks to a 7-0 win over the Panthers.

“The girls rallied around their seniors and put together a good game for them,” BHS head coach Casey Reierson said. “(The three seniors) got to start, and two of the seniors, Jacie (Lalli) and Hannah Eller both put the puck in the net, so that was fun for their teammates. Both had a good time with that.”

Eller had two goals and three assists on the night, while Lalli had a goal and two assists. Eva Laituri chipped in a pair of goals, Jemma Copiskey posted two assists, and Olivia Johnson and Gracie Fisher each had a goal.

Bemidji goalie Brooklyn Delap earned the shutout for the Jacks (5-20), stopping all 12 shots she faced.

Eller, Lalli and senior defenseman Shannon McBride have offered more than talent on the ice this year, according to Reierson.

“A good part of what those seniors do is bring a good attitude to the team,” he said. “They’re part of the change that our program is trying to make right now, and they played their part and they did a heck of a job with it.”

The Lumberjacks finished winless in Section 8AA (0-6). The seedings and bracket for the section tournament are expected to be released Wednesday, Feb. 7.
