Chamber to hold meeting seminar
A seminar on "Meetings and Motivation" will be given by Rick Cole of Dale Carnegie Training from 8-10 a.m. April 6 and 20 in the Beltrami Electric community room, sponsored by the Bemidji Area Chamber of Commerce.

Entrepreneurship class set for April 7
An Intro to Entrepreneurship program will be offered free of charge from 6-9 p.m. Thursday, April 7, at the Center of Optivation Conference Room, 3801 Bemidji Avenue North, Suite 4 in Bemidji.
Participants will learn how to bring an invention or business idea to life, along with the process of starting a business, financing options, feasibility of your idea, business plan essentials, and legal requirement for business start-up.
The instructor is Lois Templin, a successful entrepreneur and business consultant for the Northwest Small Business Development Center. Registration is required.

Pankow attends winter conference
Kenneth Pankow of Play It Again Sports of Bemidji, 2219 Paul Bunyan Drive N.W., attended the sporting goods reseller's 2011 Winter Conference and Trade Show Feb. 16-19 at Mirage Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.
The focus of the show was on acquiring and marketing the gently-used sporting goods that are the brand's hallmark, along with improving individual store performance, providing a more positive customer experience and positioning each store to take advantage of current trends in team and individual sports.
Play It Again Sports' mission is to recycle more and more quality used sports and fitness equipment every year by educating families to clean out their garage and basements more often. Buying quality used equipment helps protect the environment and allows families to save money by selling their used sports equipment or buying discounted used and new sports equipment.
