Body found in Grand Rapids ID’d as missing man

GRAND RAPIDS, Minn. -- The St. Louis County Medical Examiner’s Office has confirmed that the body found Monday in Grand Rapids was that of a man missing for two weeks.

William Russell Martin, 53, was last seen May 20 near Golf Course Road and the Grand Itasca Clinic in Grand Rapids. His body was found in a pond in the southwestern area of Grand Rapids.

A ruling on the cause of death is pending, but foul play is not suspected.
