Crime report for July 8

Police Report

The Beltrami Police Department responded to the following calls Monday:


11:03 p.m. A backpack was stolen from a vehicle on the 1400 block of Paul Bunyan Drive NW.

7:56 p.m. A lawnmower was reported stolen on the 1300 block of Bixby Avenue NE.

4:30 p.m. The theft of $350 in cash was reported on the 1200 block of Birchmont Drive NE.

3:24 p.m. A theft from a vehicle was reported on the 700 block of Vista Way NW.

11:58 a.m. A report was made concerning a theft over the last week on the 600 block of America Avenue NW.

11:50 a.m. Two parties were talked to, advised, and given two days to work out their differences and have all property returned to their rightful owner after a property dispute was reported on the 1100 block of Beltrami Avenue NW.

10:02 a.m. A gas drive-off theft occurred on the 2400 block of Paul Bunyan Drive NW.

9:27 a.m. The attempted theft of yard statues was reported on the 800 block of Roosevelt Road SE.


10:49 p.m. A 34-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of driving after revocation and careless driving after she struck a power pole on the 1100 block of Minnesota Avenue NW.

Property damage

3:38 p.m. A complaint of motor vehicle tampering was made on the 600 block of Third Street NW.


10:12 a.m. A male reported a fraudulent charge on his debit card on the 700 block of Vista Way NW.

Sheriff’s Report

The Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office responded to the following calls Monday:


8:28 p.m. A harassment order was served on Bemidji Avenue N.

6:14 p.m. A Blackduck resident on Northern Avenue NE reported that she is being harassed via Facebook.


3:04 p.m. A burglary was reported on George Drive NE.


2:48 p.m. A natural gas line rupture was reported at Majestic Pines Lane NW and Irvine Avenue NW. The sheriff’s office provided traffic control.


10:47 a.m. An outbuilding was broken into on Irvine Avenue NW and several items were reported missing.
