Bjerknes to plead guilty to state and federal charges

White Earth Nation 2014 election results, no change from preliminary totals

WHITE EARTH -- The results for White Earth Nation’s 2014 general election have been released. The nation has more than 20,000 eligible voters.

Positions on the ballot included secretary/treasurer, District 1 representative and District 2 representative. Gary Padrta, Public Relations Specialist with White Earth confirmed the results as follows:


Tara Mason - 908 votes - 50.75 percent

Robert J. Durant (incumbent) - 881 votes - 49.24 percent

District 1 Representative

Steven “Punky” Clark - 231 votes - 52.98 percent

Irene “Rene” Auginaush - 205 votes - 47.02 percent

District 2 Representative

Kathy Goodwin - 372 votes - 51.67 percent

Terrance “Terry” Tibbetts (incumbent) - 348 votes - 48.33 percent

District 1 includes Bejou, Beaulieu, Pine Bend and Rice Lake. District 2 is Mahnomen, Naytahwaush and Waubun. White Earth’s District 3 includes Callaway, Elbow Lake, Ogema, Pine Point and White Earth.
