Bjerknes to plead guilty to state and federal charges

Second person in Bagley bust sentenced

BAGLEY -- The second of five people arrested for selling methamphetamine and pharmaceutical drugs in Clearwater County was sentenced Wednesday.

Linda Sue Elam, 45, of Clearbrook was sentenced for one count of felony fourth-degree sale to 45 days in the Clearwater County Jail and has been credited with 23 days time served. She has been placed on 15 years supervised probation and must pay a $325 fine. She plead guilty to the charge April 30.

Elam sold acetaminophen/hydrocodone to an informant in Bagley in late February, according to court documents. She faced a maximum sentence of 15 years in prison and a fine of $100,000

The five defendants were arrested simultaneously at two Bagley residences and a Shevlin location in April. The investigation was conducted by the Clearwater County Sheriff’s Department and Paul Bunyan Drug Task Force.

Steven Wade Tanner, 26, of Bagley was convicted May 28 in Clearwater County district court on one count of felony fifth-degree drug sale and one count of fourth-degree drug sale. Tanner was sentenced to 45 days in the Clearwater County Jail and placed on five years supervised probation for the fifth-degree charge and 15 years probation for the second charge. He must pay $95 in fines.

Martin Norgaard, 22, of Shevlin and Thomas Shook, 44 and Eric Dacus, 39 of Bagley are scheduled for court appearances on Wednesday, July 2. Martin and Dacus plead guilty on June 4. Shook plead not guilty.
