NEVIS – An 87-year-old Nevis woman who had been reported missing Tuesday morning has been located.
According to a press release form the Hubbard County Sheriff’s Office:
The woman, who was not identified, was reported missing at 10:14 a.m. Tuesday; she had not been heard from since 8:30 p.m. Monday.
The Sheriff’s Office sent out an alert to residents in the city of Nevis and began searching for the woman, who has known health issues.
With the help of security camera footage obtained from Northwind’s Grocery, the woman was seen walking in front of the store at 3:30 a.m. Tuesday.
After a three-hour search, the woman was located Wednesday inside a dugout at the ballfield located at Nevis School.
She was unconscious, but was breathing. She was airlifted from the scene to a Fargo hospital, where her condition is improving.
The search included members of the Hubbard County Sheriff’s Office, Sheriff’s Posse, Nevis Fire Department, Akeley First Responders, Hubbard First Responders, North Ambulance, Nevis School Faculty and students, and local citizens.
