Bagley man gets 30 years for sex crimes
Dale Channing Casebolt Sr., 46, of Bagley, was sentenced to 30 years in prison relating to convictions for first- and second degree criminal sexual conduct.
Casebolt was sentenced to serve 187 months by Judge Paul Rasmussen after being convicted, by a Clearwater County jury in August of criminal sexual conduct upon an 11-year-old girl.
Casebolt was sentenced today Tuesday, Dec. 14, after a Clearwater County jury had convicted him in October on additional counts of Criminal Sexual Conduct perpetrated upon a 12-year-old girl. Judge John Melby committed Casebolt to the Commissioner of Corrections to serve 173 months in prison consecutively to the first sentence.
Casebolt will be on a lifetime of conditional release, must submit a DNA sample and register as a sex offender. He is ordered to complete a sex offender evaluation at the St. Peter State Hospital, as well.
The cases were prosecuted by Clearwater County Attorney Jeanine Brand after one victim's relative and a mandated reporter contacted the Clearwater County Department of Human Services and Bagley Police Department in February.
