Two arrested in Brainerd are marijuana growing sting
On May 5, 2010 the Lakes Area Drug Enforcement Division (L.A.D.I.D.) conducted a search warrant for an indoor marijuana growing operation at a rural Brainerd residence. The search warrant was the culmination of
an investigation conducted by the Lakes Area Drug Enforcement Division and the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office.
Numerous items were seized as a result of the search warrant. They included 45 mature marijuana plants,
approximately 1.5 pounds of processed marijuana, firearms and marijuana growing equipment.
Two people were arrested at the residence for felony possession of controlled substance with intent to sell. They
were taken to the Crow Wing County Jail pending formal charges from the Crow Wing County Attorney's Office. The people arrested were identified as:
a 45-year-old Brainerd man and a 44-year-old Brainerd woman.
Agencies involved with this investigation and search warrant were the Crow Wing County Sheriff's Office, the
Lakes Area Drug Investigative Division, the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office and the Crow Wing County
Tactical Response Team.
