Nevis area accident injures three
A three-vehicle accident that occurred at about 5:30 p.m. Saturday on state Highway 34 west of Nevis injured three individuals, two of them seriously.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol out of Brainerd:
The accident involved a 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer, 1995 Chrysler Concorde and a 1998 Nissan Pathfinder. The three vehicles were involved in a broadside accident, but the details of the accident were not clear based on the State Patrol report.
The driver of the Trailblazer was David Johnson, 51, of Plymouth, Minn. He was treated and released at St. Joseph's Area Health Services in Park Rapids.
The driver of the Pathfinder was Lars Olson, 18, of Sartell, who was not injured.
The driver of the Concorde was Rodney Roberts, 64, of Coon Rapids, Minn., who was taken to St. Joseph's Area Health Services and was listed in critical condition.
A passenger in the Concorde, Judith Roberts, 63, of Coon Rapids, also was taken to St. Joseph's Area Health Services and was listed in critical condition.
There also were three passengers in the Trailblazer - Stephen Johnson, 49, of Plymouth; Joel Johnson, 43, of Maple Grove, Minn.; and Lynette Johnson, 37, of Maple Grove - but none was injured.
Everyone involved in the accident were wearing their seat belts.
All three vehicles were totaled.
