NOT GUILTY: Verdict delivered in Troy Martin murder trial

BEMIDJI - It will be a few days before Troy Martin and his family adjust to the not guilty verdict handed down from the jury Thursday afternoon.

"It's been four years of just terrible," Martin said as he exited the courtroom.

The jury heard closing arguments this morning and deliberated for approximately five hours. Jurors entered the Beltrami County courtroom at 4:10 p.m. Court was adjourned by 4:15 p.m.

Watch for more details of the final day of Martin’s second-degree murder trial later this evening. Martin was implicated in the 1998 murder of his sister Leisa Martin at their family's rural Bagley home by his brother Todd Martin.
