Judge orders Duluth head shop closed for at least a year
DULUTH — Duluth’s Last Place on Earth is to remain closed for at least one year, a judge ruled Tuesday.
Carlson cannot reopen his store for one year, and is prevented from selling synthetics out of any other location within the city.
The store has been closed since Floerke issued a temporary injunction July 19. A two-day trial was held in August.
Carlson remains jailed while he awaits sentencing after being found guilty of 51 federal offenses last month. His attorney, Randall Tigue, asked for Carlson’s release Monday, saying he expected the judge’s order to have the store shut down.
