Phelps graduated from FBI National Academy Program

Richard "Ricky" Phelps

Bemidji native Richard "Ricky" Phelps was among the 228 law enforcement officers graduated on June 7 from the FBI National Academy Program at Quantico, Virginia. Phelps is a 2002 Bemidji High School graduate. He is currently an active duty Navy Senior Chief Master-at-Arms, stationed at Naval Criminal Investigative Service Security Training, Assistance, and Assessment Team Pacific in Coronado, Calif.

The 268th Session of the National Academy included men and women from 47 states. Known for its academic excellence, the National Academy Program, held at the FBI Academy, offers 10 weeks of advanced communication, leadership and fitness training for selected officers having proven records as professionals within their agencies.
