Forest archaeology at Saturday Science
BEMIDJI -- Forest archaeology is the topic for the next Saturday Science at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 21, at the Headwaters Science Center, 413 Beltrami Ave. NW in downtown Bemidji.
Sean Dunham, the Heritage Program Manager for the Chippewa National Forest, will present on the science and math needed to be an archaeologist and what a day at work is like for a forest archaeologist.
Dunham will bring artifacts found in the Chippewa National Forest to show participants and he’ll share photographs and information about the culture and history of the Headwaters region, specifically the Chippewa National Forest, a release said.
Saturday Science is included with admission to the exhibit floor and is free for HSC members.
