City Council: Application deadline nearing for Ward 4 council seat

BEMIDJI – With just a few days left before the application window closes, three people have applied for the vacant Ward 4 city council seat.

Linda Lemmer, who previously ran for the at-large council seat in 2010, Lee D. Falk, and Reed Olson had all filed for the seat as of Friday afternoon.

The deadline to apply with a letter of intent and affidavit for council appointment is 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The council will hold a special meeting Jan. 28 to interview candidates. The seat was vacated by Rita Albrecht in the middle of her term as she was elected mayor.
