Frohn Township house fire a total loss

BEMIDJI -- A home in Frohn Township was fully engulfed in flames when Bemidji and Cass Lake firefighters responded to the scene Wednesday afternoon. The building is considered a total loss.

At approximately 1:09 p.m.a passerby reported a fire on the 7000 block of 23rd Street SE, according to a release issued by the Bemidji Fire Department. Firefighters were able to contain the fire to the home using 23 firefighters, two fire engines, three water tenders and a ladder truck. No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire appears to be accidental, however it is currently under investigation, the release stated. The Beltrami County Sheriff’s Department, Minnesota Department of Natural Resources firefighters, State Fire Marshal’s Office, Beltrami Electric and the Bemidji Ambulance Service assisted at the scene.
