According to the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, burning restrictions are set to be lifted at 8 a.m. Friday. Burning permits will continue to be required for burning vegetation and grass until at least 3 inches of snow cover is on the ground. Campfires do not require a burning permit but must be confined to a fire ring and attended at all times. All campfires must be extinguished by 8 a.m. the following day.

Also, the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency prohibits the burning of building materials, peat, and household garbage. All unauthorized burning is asked to be reported to either 911 or the local Forestry office.
