Prime Time/Missy Thomas: Northwoods Caregivers honors volunteers as part of National Volunteer Week
Northwoods Caregivers is proud to recognize National Volunteer Week 2011, Celebrating People in Action.
Sponsored by Points of Light Institute and HandsOn Network - the nation's largest volunteer network - National Volunteer Week was established in 1974 and has grown exponentially each year, with literally thousands of volunteer projects and special events scheduled throughout the week.
This year, National Volunteer Week falls April 10-16 and is a chance for us to honor those who dedicate themselves to taking action and bettering their communities.
It's also about inspiring, recognizing and encouraging people to seek out imaginative ways to engage in their communities - and to make a difference for a neighbor.
Northwoods Caregivers provides many opportunities for you to get involved! Volunteers are needed to help seniors and disabled individuals get to medical appointments, help with grocery shopping or even around-the-house chores. If you would like to find out more about how you can share your gifts, please contact Northwoods Caregivers today. With your help, we can Connect, Enrich and Empower the lives of Northwoods Individuals and Families.
