Entrepreneur training opens; room for more participants
The first class of the five sessions in the Leech Lake Tribal Development's Entrepreneur Training had 28 participants who came ready to develop their business concepts.
Discussions included what products they would offer for sale, their prospective customers, their competition, the effectiveness of e-commerce, financial resources, target markets which included Leech Lake's reservation programs and Leech Lake Gaming.
The topics for the Dec. 14 and 21 classes will be about how to develop a marketing strategy using the 4 P's of marketing: product, price, place and promotion.
The topics for the Dec. 28 and Jan. 4 classes will be about how to define operations, management, and financial strategies. Participants will focus on sales forecasts, operating budgets, three-year income statement and cash flow.
